As your neighbor and a passionate advocate for our community, I want to address a pressing issue that affects us all—our taxes.
Under the leadership of the current mayor and town council, we've witnessed irresponsible tax increases, yet our town remains stagnant in terms of the amenities and services we deserve. Despite the higher taxes weighing down our households, we have seen little to no improvement in public parks, community centers, or essential services.
The funds we're providing are not being invested back into our community to enhance our quality of life. It's time for a change. Together, we can hold our leaders accountable and demand transparency in how our tax dollars are spent. As your candidate, I pledge to prioritize responsible budgeting and ensure that every tax dollar contributes to tangible improvements in our town.
As Harrisburg continues to grow, the way we manage our town’s finances will shape the future of our community. Fiscal conservatism—responsible, disciplined, and transparent financial stewardship. It’s a guiding principle that ensures our residents’ tax dollars are spent wisely, our infrastructure is maintained, and our town remains a desirable place to live.
Every dollar collected in taxes comes directly from the hard work of Harrisburg families. Practicing fiscal conservatism means being mindful of how those dollars are used, prioritizing essential services over unnecessary spending.
Keeping spending in check, carefully evaluating new projects, and avoiding unnecessary debt, Harrisburg can protect its financial health.
Fiscal conservatism isn’t about saying “no” to everything—it’s about saying “yes” to the right things. Strategic investments in public safety, roads, parks, and infrastructure benefit the entire community when approached with careful planning and accountability.
When leaders commit to transparency and conservative budgeting, residents can have confidence that their town government is working in their best interest. That trust is the foundation of strong civic engagement.
The picture below shows the amount of taxes the Town of Harrisburg collected over the past 6 years.

You can quickly notice the increase between 2020 and 2025 is more than double at $10,503,000. This is not fiscal conservatism.
As Harrisburg faces the challenges of growth and the opportunities of the future, fiscal conservatism is the key to ensuring we thrive without overburdening our citizens. By practicing responsible financial management, we can preserve what makes Harrisburg special while preparing wisely for tomorrow
