During my time as mayor, we adopted a 10-year tax rate plan to keep property taxes stable while responsibly funding growth. Since leaving office, residents have seen increases in their property tax bill that strain household budgets. The amount of yearly tax revenue in the past 4 years has more than doubled from 9.4 million to 19.9 million. I personally watched my own monthly mortgage increase by over $300. 

The table below shows the amount of taxes collected by the Town of Harrisburg over the past six years is more than double at $10,503,000.  This is fiscally irresponsible and unsustainable.

I am running to restore fiscal discipline and make sure Harrisburg remains an affordable, welcoming place for all families. It’s time to focus on needs and prioritize wants in the best interest of all residents.
